I was in Longmeadow Saturday for the wedding of Brooke and Brendan. They were married at St. Mary’s Church and had their reception at the Longmeadow Country Club.
It’s unusual for a church to feel so cool on a hot day, but St. Mary’s was very comfortable. The Country Club staff was efficient and well-organized as usual. I worked with a new (to me) photographer, Stacie Kirkwood, who is based in Framingham. Stacie has a lot of energy, great people skills, and a good eye for interesting shots. Playing at the reception was the band Moonglow, which did some nice versions of Motown songs, and Van Morrison, too.
Spent Sunday afternoon helping a colleague tape Living Along the River: A Concert of River Songs at the Academy of Music in downtown Northampton. The concert was to benefit the Connecticut River Watershed Council.
Well, I tried Mark Bittman’s fast-cook turkey recipe (NY Times blog). My turkey turned out fine, taste-wise, but it took almost 2 and a half hours (instead of the estimated 1 hour for my 16-pound bird) and delayed our dinner. Luckily, our guests were in no hurry and were gracious about the wait.
Posting some video stills from Amy and Vivek’s wedding at the Fairmont Copley Plaza in Boston in late April:
Just received this e-mail from Susan and Anthony:
I have been travelling for business and was pleasantly surprised with
our video when I returned. We love it!!! Thank you so much for your
great work. It is an awesome documentation of our entire wedding and
captures exactly how we felt that day. It was so nice to watch it and
relive it! We look forward to making it a tradition to watch it each
year on our anniversary.
